Designs - New Hampshire Alteration
A new kitchen, porch and deck are planned for this 50 year old small neighborhood home.
Appropriate use of a 45 degree angle makes small spaces seem large.
Originally the kitchen was too tight in a dark space and not enough space was available for dining.
By omitting a deep, useless closet in a too-tiny vestibule, the kitchen space is enlarged and a new skylight can now bring daylight into the interior space.
A dining table now fits comfortably within the overall kitchen area.
Extending beyond the living room, a screened porch is provided with access to the new deck which is also accessed near the kitchen.
The deck has an arbor next to the table for morning glories.
